Offset Printing

This is a common and versatile printing process used for high-volume printing on paper and other substrates.

How it works: Ink is transferred from a metal plate to a rubber blanket and then to the final printing surface. This indirect transfer allows for high-quality printing with sharp images and consistent color reproduction.

Common Uses:

  • Magazines and newspapers
  • Books and brochures
  • Posters and flyers
  • Packaging materials (boxes, cartons)
  • Commercial printing

This is a process for creating nonwoven fabrics. Nonwoven fabrics are made from fibers that are bonded together mechanically or chemically, rather than being woven or knitted.

How it works: There are various methods for manufacturing nonwoven fabrics, including:

  • Spunbonding: Fibers are extruded from spinnerets and then laid down to form a web.
  • Meltblowing: Molten polymer is extruded through fine nozzles to create a web of fibers.
  • Needle punching: Fibers are entangled and bonded together using barbed needles.

Common Uses:

  • Medical gowns and masks
  • Wipes and filters
  • Geotextiles
  • Insulation materials

This is a high-quality printing process that uses engraved cylinders to transfer ink to the printing surface.

How it works: The image is etched onto a copper cylinder. Ink is applied to the cylinder and then wiped away from the non-image areas. The remaining ink is transferred to the printing surface.

Common Uses:

  • Magazines and catalogs
  • Packaging (especially flexible packaging like food wrappers)
  • Banknotes and stamps
  • High-end labels and decals
